An Automatic Power Factor Correction (APFC) panel is an electrical control panel that monitors and improves the power factor of an electrical system. Power factor is the ratio of active power to apparent power, and it’s a key component in measuring how much electricity is consumed. APFC panels are designed to improve power factor by automatically switching capacitor banks on and off.

● We also manufacture a Real Time Automatic Power Fac-tor Correction Panel, which is also
known as a Thyristorised APFC Panel. In these panels, Thyristors are used instead of
Contractors for switching the capacitors.
● The capacitors are switched at Zero point on the AC wave form on account of which no
harmon-ics, in-rush current or surges are generated at the time of switching of capacitor
in the network.
● This method of switching also increases the life of capac-itors and efficiency of the electrical installation.
